SMALL GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING
Small-group personal training provides the personalized attention of one-on-one training but at a lower cost and you get to share the challenges and rewards of the workout with a friend or two. Working out with others is fun, motivating and let’s face it, a little friendly competition never hurt as you are likely to work even harder when seeing others in your group putting in more effort and progressing faster. Members of small-group training also benefit from the advice, support and encouragement offered by one another.
HIIT, or high-intensity interval training requires participants to work at 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. HIIT workouts are widely believed to be one of the most effective means of improving cardiovascular health, respiratory endurance, as well as metabolic function and perhaps the biggest draw is their ability to keep the body burning fat even after the workout is over.
Join one of our indoor cycling classes and experience an exhilarating cardio workout. Although each of our instructors has a unique style and musical preferences, they will all have you pedaling up the hills, racing through the sprints and many other challenging drills to keep you motivated and working hard.
We have a variety of yoga offerings whether your focus is alignment and mobility, relaxation and restoration or an athletic practice combining strength, flexibility and endurance.
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements, named after its creator Joseph Pilates who developed the exercises in the 1920s. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. A Pilates routine generally includes exercises that promote core strength and stability, muscle control and endurance, including exercises that stress proper posture and movement patterns and balanced flexibility and strength.
OUTDOOR RUN CLUB
Do you enjoy running, but the idea of a treadmill indoors just isn't that appealing? Or have you always wanted to start running but just haven't had the motivation? Well, our outdoor run club just may be what you're looking for! Join us for three weekly runs; two weekday-morning runs ranging from 10-12km and a slightly longer run on Sundays, ranging from 12-15km. Massage therapy is offered in one of our on-site massage rooms. Regardless of your activity, whether it’s day-to-day job-related stress or the intense load of sport specific demands, we have you covered. Massage therapy specific to athletics focuses on regaining normal muscle and soft tissue flexibility to assist recovery from or to help prevent injury. Regular sports massage is an integral part of any athletic regime and has been proven to assist in the prevention and recovery of injury as well as increasing flexibility and strength.
FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY
Do you have constant aches and pain? Are your frustrated that stretching is too painful and does not help? FST is a stretching that targets not only the muscles, but the fascia - the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints. It also targets the entire joint and joint capsule, using traction to remove restrictions from movement and to stimulate lubrication. There is no pain, not even discomfort. Instead, the gentle movement is stimulating and relaxing at the same time. It helps to reduce pain, improve posture & mobility, decrease compression & impingement in joints.
